The examination is conducted by the main regulatory body for the admission of candidates who aspire to study in the masters of business administration. AICTE is the main regulatory authority which is engaged in the conduct of the examination. It is basically a national level management entrance examination for the aspirants who wish to pursue the course of MBA for their further studies. It is conducted for admitting the candidates in various PGDM and MBA programmes and various other courses in which the candidate is interested. The affiliated universities and colleges accept the students who have cleared the entrance test.

The CMAT 2017 registration process was closed on December 28th. This year the examination will be held in the month of January i.e. 28th January 2017. The examination is a computer based test and contains the multiple choice questions. The paper consists of four sections and the instructions along with the examination are available in the English language as per the needs and preferences of the candidates. The entrance examination is found to be moderately difficult according to the latest surveys as compared to the other entrance exams of management like CAT, XAT, etc.  All the details regarding the examination will be available on the website for the ease and convenience of the candidates so that they are able to apply for the examination without any hesitation and obstacle. The next step is to fill all the personal as well as the academic details in the application form. If the entries are not accurate or appropriate, then the form will be disqualified and rejected. The next step is to upload the scanned photographs and signature and the required certificates. The format for the scanned document is mentioned on the website. The size and the format must be appropriate in order to fill the form accurately. The second last step is to make payment. The payment can be made via offline as well as the online mode. The online mode is much easier and convenient as the fee can be paid through debit or credit cards easily. Before filling the online application form, there are many things to be kept in mind. the students must keep scanned documents with themselves such as the photographs, signatures, mark sheets, certificates, adhaar card number, etc. document which verify the educational qualifications such as the mark sheets of 10th , 12th, bachelor’s degree and the masters degree.
