In this competitive world of social media, it pays to up the ante and go that extra mile to stand out from the crowd to win. Gone are the days where time was on your side, and you had the opportunity to be successful just based on hard work and diligence. Everybody is competing for the same thing out there, which makes it that much harder to find a niche original enough to get noticed. Here are three ways to market your Instagram online, giving you that extra kick of having a good chance of doing well with it.

There is also analytics – and while they don’t provide them to the extent that paid companies do, they are helpful. This gives you access to engagement data, allowing you to find out exactly who is following you or interested in your page.

Whether you’re a seasoned Instagrammer or just starting out, it’s not hard to figure out that Instagram is a community, which just like any real-life grouping of people requires networking and interacting. Engaging regularly with your followers is one of the best things you can do to boost your popularity on Instagram. The more effort you put into getting to know who’s following and interested in you, the more you’ll get back through comments, likes, and follows. Instagram is a two-way street that requires as much effort in the community on your side as it does on theirs.

Instagram can be a hard game to win but just remember: while there are now hundreds of successful Instagram accounts out there, they are still outnumbered by the millions of people that are on Instagram looking for their particular interest. The trick is to be unique, friendly and committed – people want to get to know you and your brand so they can build up a gradual trust and loyalty to your page.
